UPS Announces Special Washington DC Delivery

With the upcoming Presidential Inauguration, UPS has announced Washington DC metro region delivery delays.
"Due to the anticipated increased traffic and security measures associated with the 2009 Presidential Inauguration, pickup and delivery service in Washington D.C. and the surrounding areas will be affected from Monday, January 19, through Wednesday, January 21. Government restrictions and road closures will impact all carriers.
"If you have package shipments going into Washington D.C. and the surrounding areas during those three days, please refer to the Service Update on ups.com for additional details, affected ZIP Codes, and the impact to the UPS Service Guarantee.
"Between now and the inauguration, federal and local authorities may impose additional restrictions that could impact service. Please visit ups.com for the most up-to-date information. UPS will make every effort to provide service as conditions in and around the Washington D.C. area allow."
